Description:
Chennakeshvara temple has Prakara (walled compound) and is entered through eastern Gopuram (towered gateway). This Gopuram with tapering upper portion has four storeys decorated with sculptures and capped by a vaulted roof. This gateway is added to Chennakeshwar temple complex during Vijayanagar period.
